| Together with her chef, Sunny Dinney, and Whidbey Island freelance writer and editor Sue Frause, Main’s desire was to create a cookbook that was both a reflection of the elegant hospitality and lifestyle guests enjoy at the inn and a compilation of practical tips on how to create the flavours of Fairholme Manor in their own homes.
“We couldn’t keep up with the requests for recipes and so I thought it would be simple to create a cookbook,” says Main. “However we soon decided it had to also reflect the high quality of experience we provide at the inn. From the hard cover and book jacket, glossy paper stock to the images and text, we had to create a book people would be proud to display in their homes and include recipes they could serve to their most favourite friends and relatives!”
Inside the self-published, four-colour, hardcover book readers will find inviting photographs of Fairholme Manor Inn and its gardens. Recipes include Asiago and Green Onion Omelette; Baked Raspberry French Toast; Fairholme’s Eggs Benedict; Lemon Ricotta Pancakes; Breakfast Cheese Soufflé; Zucchini and Oregano Frittata; Fairholme Granola and Lemon Blueberry Loaf with Lemon Sugar Glaze |
